EinleitungLocalization of nodes is becoming a very important application of Wirless Sensor Networks (WSN) and attractive field for research since the various fields where it could be useful such as vehicle tracking or environment monitoring. One mechanism for localizing an unknown node is using other nodes deployed at a fixed positions called anchors. A positioning algorithm is used to estimate the position of the target node, generally it's range based methods known for their low cost and feasibility for real time application. In spite of many localization approches that require extra hardware to estimate distance in WSN, InPhase is a system developed to be a No-cost distance estimator using phase measurement of communication signals between two nodes equipped with IEEE802.15.4 transceiver chip. The InPhase system is seem interesting to the growing field of Internet of Things (IoT) due to its efficient cost and no requirement of additional hardware that could be highly exhausting in terms of computation and energy resources. AufgabenstellungThe goal of this thesis is to implement a particle filter for the InPhase system to improve localization accuracy and speed. The new particle filter will be evaluated against the old localization algorithm. Links |
