The Distributed Systems Research Group of the Institute of Operating Systems and Computer Networks at TU Braunschweig seeks applicants for a Post-doc position in the area of Reliable Distributed Systems and Operating Systems. The position is to fill as soon as possible (Oct 15 2015 at the earliest) and it is paid by TV-L up to Tarif part E13.
The researcher will initiate and lead research in the context of one of the following projects:
Qualified for the positions are candidates with an excellent PhD degree in computer science or equivalent area. Furthermore, they should have a background from at least one of the following areas: trusted execution, virtualization, practical distributed algorithms (e.g. Byzantine fault-tolerance), cloud computing or operating systems. In addition, strong programming skills and good English language abilities are prerequisites. Finally, candidates should enjoy working collaboratively in a group and have a desire to build real systems.
The position is initially limited for 2 years. Because of its coverage in research, the responsibility for the project and if needed the leading of several students and research assistants, the position is hard to split for part-time working.
