[tkined] Scotty CPU usage

We're using scotty at my company and we have a question regarding CPU
usage. One of our groups stripped scotty from everything but the
essentials for SNMP requests and the CPU usage remained peculiarly high.
Is scotty supposed to have poor performance, or do we actually have a
problem? We are using AIX 3.2.5
