[tkined] Newbie stupid question

I have recently started using tkined and I think it is a great product. I
have unfortunately been unable to discover how to use the "reference"
(hand icon) tool. No mention of its use is mentioned in either the FAQ or
the "getting started with tkined" files. If someone could give me a
pointer where to find the info or give it here it will be greatly
appreciated.
