Sorry, I need the stack backtrace from the scotty binary. The system
call trace you have send does not provide much information. Check if
you have for example gdb. Run scotty in gdb (gdb ./scotty) and type
`bt' once the scotty binary has crashed. If you have no gdb, but you
do have dbx, run scotty in dbx (dbx ./scotty) and type `where' once
the scotty binary has crashed. Or ask someone familiar with using
a debugger on your OS.
