Overview

The NSA spying scandal boomed people's eagerness to enhance the security and privacy of their data, especially in clouds. In this seminar, we are going to show you the latest technology provided by both academia and industry, for implementing Trusted Computing in Clouds. From hardware to software, our seminar covers the most crucial and critical topics:

  • Trusted Virtualization and Isolation
  • Minimized TCB
  • Trusted Storage in Cloud
  • Cryptography as a Service (CaaS)
  • Trusted Mobile Platforms
  • Hardware extensions such as ARM TrustZone and Intel SGX

Course

This seminar will be given in English. Each participant will take one or more papers under a specific topic. Participants are responsible for a peer review, including:

  • Attend peer's presentation dry run and give feedback.
  • Review peer's report before submission.

Notes

Please submit the elaboration as well as your presentation slides. The requirements for presentation and elaboration are listed as follows:

  • Please give presentation and finish elaboration in English.
  • The presentation takes about 25 minutes.
  • The extent of elaboration should include 6-10 pages.

Each paticipant is supposed to do further research based on the paper. The supervisors are always glad to help in this case.

The strength of the university depends on academic and personal integrity. In this seminar, reports must be done in your own words. Plagiarism is an offense against the examination regulations.

The LaTeX template for seminar report can be found here, you can also have a look at the PDF-Format.

Additional considerations for the design of the report can be found on the website of IBR.

Presentation templates are available on our Website

Each seminar participant will receive an account for the access to the computer of the institute.

Elaborations

The material is only available to registered attendees. In order to register, you need either an IBR POSIX account or a self-activated IBR-y-account. Afterwards you can login to this site.
