I started my work at the Institute of Operating Systems and Computer Networks in Oct. 2003. I am a research staff member and PhD candidate in the Communication and Multimedia Research Group, under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lars Wolf. My research interests include network architecture and protocol stack for emerging new communication paradigms (e.g. autonomic communications, complex system, self-organizing networks etc.), and network entertainment. The focus of my work is network self-management. In my previous years, I studied M.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology at the International University in Germany, Bruchsal between Sep. 1999 and Aug. 2001. I was a software developer (Intern) for one year at the NEC Network Laboratories in Heidelberg, Germany, where I also did my intership and master thesis. In between, I spent a term abroad at the ECS of the University of Southampton , UK. I was with the Panasonic Multimedia Communication European Lab (now Panasonic R&D Center, Germany) as a research engineer from Sep. 2001 to Sep. 2003.

Music: A fan of European classical music, especially that of Baroque Period and chamber works in Classical Period. My favorite composers are J. S. Bach and A. Vivaldi. I used to play classical guitar and sing in choir (all at amateur level). Recommendations:

Hi-Fi: DIYer, tester, reviewer and watcher, audiophile of fine British, Italian and Danish gears, like Audio Note | Quad ESL | Musical Fidelity | Naim | Unison Research | Rega | B&W | Tannoy | Sonus Faber | Harbeth | Dynaudio | Pro-Ject. Recommendations:

Digital Photography: An amateur portrait photographer, shoot RAW with Canon EOS 30D + 35mm 1.4L, 50mm 1.4, 24-105mm 4.0L IS and 70-200mm 2.8L IS, and edit with Adobe Lightroom on Mac. I use Bowens Gemini Digital 500/500 kit and 250/250 kit + TravelPak, Bowens portrait and fashion lighting kits, Lastolite backgrounds and reflectors as well as Manfrotto tripod, head and lighting support accessories.
