Task

  • Designing a PCB for 8 batteries with the following features
    • Different usable battery types
    • Periodic current traces applied as a load to all batteries
    • Integrated oscilloscope that takes traces of one battery
    • External interface for reference trace (shunt + opamp to trace a sensor nodes's current consumption)
  • Implement software that is mostly compatible with the old version
  • Battery evaluation using a few boards and our climatic chambers
    • Show that the boards work
    • Analyze the data to support model of the battery discharge with respect to temperature

In cooperation with the Uppsala University and the CoRe Communication Research Group

For the execution of this theses knowledge about electical engineering, microcontrollers, Python, C and circuit design is helpful.
