Hi Jurkin,

Win NT 4.0 does have an SNMP agent, it needs to be installed explicitly
under the Services tab of the Network Properties. You can then access it
exactly as any other SNMP object. Note that the agent is very minimal, and I
think only items installed after the service is installed will use the
agent.

There are various MIBs available (e.g. WINS.mib) but I think you will need
to install the programs (e.g. WINS) after adding the SNMP service for it to
be populated.

If you have access to the NT 4.0 resource kit, there's a bunch of programs,
MIBs, etc in there.

Subject: [tkined] SNMP in NT

Hi!

Q:

Does Win NT 4.0 have a built-in SNMP agent?
And how is it possible to use it with Scotty (connection)?
Does NT has some MIB file also?

Thanks a lot !

Greetings,
Drazen Jurkin
