Hi
 I am trying to setup a system with scotty and having problems in not
being able to use the commands in scotty like snmp.
 I got the tcl8.3, tk8.3 and scotty3.0.0 version binary packages for
solaris 2.8 from sunfreeware.com and installed them using pkgadd -d.
I added the below commands in my .profile
TCL_LIBRARY=/usr/local/lib/tcl8.3; export TCL_LIBRARY
TK_LIBRARY=/usr/local/lib/tk8.3; export TK_LIBRARY
TNM_LIBRARY=/usr/local/lib/tnm3.0.0; export TNM_LIBRARY
TKINED_LIBRARY=/usr/local/lib/tkined1.5.0; export TKINED_LIBRARY

Contents of /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/lib are given below :

st-e250a:/usr/local/lib% ls
libtcl.so libtk.so libtkstub.a tcl8.3
tkConfig.sh tnm3.0.0
libtcl8.3.so libtk8.2.so libtkstub8.2.a tclConfig.sh
tkined1.5.0 tnm3.0.0.so
libtclstub8.3.a libtk8.3.so libtkstub8.3.a tk8.3
tkined1.5.0.so
st-e250a:/usr/local/lib% cd ../bin
st-e250a:/usr/local/bin% ls
nmicmpd perl tclConfig.sh tclsh8.2 tkined1.5.0
wish8.3
nmtrapd scotty3.0.0 tclsh tclsh8.3 wish

Even after logging again into the system when I try to run scotty3.0.0
from /usr/local/bin directory, it refuses to give help for snmp command
and gives invalid command for snmp command. The snmp command man page
exists in /usr/local/man/mann as snmp.n
st-e250a:/usr/local/man/mann% ls -l snmp.n
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 50074 Dec 31 2000 snmp.n

st-e250a:/usr/local/bin% scotty3.0.0
% help snmp
ERROR: Key 'snmp' not found (he1)
child process exited abnormally
% help
Enter the message number or SCCS command name: snmp
ERROR: Key 'snmp' not found (he1)
% cd
% cd sps/test_snmp_scripts
% ls
getnext_load_test_script1 tmp1
% source getnext_load_test_script1
invalid command name "snmp"

The first few lines of the script getnext_load_test_script1 are given
below :

st-e250a:/home2/spmaster/sps/test_snmp_scripts% cat
getnext_load_test_script1
#File for testing MIB variables on st-e250a
set sa [ snmp session -address st-e250a -timeout 180 -retries 3 ]
puts "Set the SNMP session ...."

Why is scotty not recognising snmp command ? What configuration changes
do I have to do for scotty to start recognising it's commands like snmp
?

I will appreciate any help on this.

Thanks in advance
Sarvesh Prakash Singh
