Thanks for the patch. I reworked it quite a bit.

It is now in the CVS and commands such as "mib size DateAndTime" or
"mib range InterfaceIndex" now report useful data.

Your patch highlights the problem. However, I currently prefer to
change the engineID back from a binary value to an octet string value
since this is really much easier to handle in a script language like
Tcl.
