Dear all,
I have a system running Linux and scotty 2.1.10
I receive a trap from a cisco's router and I don't understand the
translation of snmpTrapOID.0 from tkined :
trap send :
generic : 02 (linkdown)
specific : 0
enterprise : 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.172 (cisco1605)
and a list of varbind ifindex, ifdescr, iftype ...
(strange for an enterprise trap declared generic .... but it isn't
subject ....)
Report by tkined :
Tue Aug 22 10:08:25 CEST 2000 SNMPv1 trap from [172.20.1.65]:
sysUpTime.0 = 12d 1:10:56.03
snmpTrapOID.0 = IF-MIB!linkDown
ifIndex.2 = 2
ifDescr.2 = Ethernet1
ifType.2 = ethernet-csmacd
enterprises.9.2.2.1.1.20.2 =
54:72:61:6E:73:6D:69:74:20:66:61:69:6C:65:64:20:2D:20:63:61:72:72:69:65:72:20:6C:6F:73:73
snmpTrapEnterprise.0 = enterprises.9.1.172
Why snmpTrapOID.0=IF-MIB and not SNMPv2-MIB ?
Thanks
Philippe
