Yes, gcc allocates constant strings in a non-writable section (unless
you specify some command line options).

The current CVS version does not have this problem since it uses a
cleaner way to initialize the MIB parser.

Anyway, thanks for the patch (although I doubt that there will ever
be an 2.1.11 version).
