[tkined] lan auto-topology

Hi,

I was able to install tkined and scotty on an Intel Linux box running
RedHat 6.0. Just for a couple of hours I build a map of the network
that check for reachability every five minutes and load monitoring map
for the servers and also for the 24 channels of a BayStack-450 switch.
It runs really fine. One tedious problem I have is the following. I
configure the system for reachability IP monitoring with the following
Job Info:

job19 300.0 160.5 0 waiting ReachabilityProc 3 2 61 40 39 12
                                    22 35 36 35 37 27 32 80 33 81
                                    82 38 14 83 21 29 31 24 4 1 90
                                    5 28 23 11 7 8 10 15 60 6
job32 300.0 159.6 0 waiting ReachabilityProc marcy

When I restart tkined I expect to find only job19 and job32 running but
instead I get jobs 19 and 32 doubled and in addition tons of jobs that
tkined runs for me:

job0 300.0 160.7 0 waiting ReachabilityProc 1 90 10 7
job1 300.0 160.7 0 waiting ReachabilityProc 1 10 7 15 60 6

job32 300.0 159.6 0 waiting ReachabilityProc marcy
job33 300.0 159.6 0 waiting ReachabilityProc marcy

How can I instruct tkined to remember its state and when rerun to keep
strict to this configuration? And one more question. Is it possible to
use tkined or scotty to obtain information useful for LAN topology
optimization?

I will appreciate any help or comments.
Thanks. Ted
