[tkined] Ports, straps and other unix stuff

Hello again friends,

I've been reading the archives and still can't make sense of this, so please bear with me if the answer is obvious:

I want to run one or more Tnm 2.1.10 scripts on Solaris 2.6 to listen for traps, respond to set/get operations, and be able to send traps. There will be other applications wanting to do the same on the standard UDP ports 161 and 162.
Is there a way for multiple applications to talk/listen on these ports?

If not, I can probably live with putting my Tnm application(s) on non-standard ports, if necessary.

What do I have to do? Do I need to run straps in either configuration? If so, do I invoke it with a port number (>1024), and is that the port number I use to configure my snmp sessions in Tnm?

Sorry to be so confused!!

Thanks again,
S. Austin
