Gadre> Are there any known issues regarding using scotty 2.1.10 with
Gadre> Tcl 8.2? The FAQ says that scotty been known to work with Tcl
Gadre> 8.0. Tcl 8.2 (actually anything after Tcl 8.1) adds
Gadre> multi-threading and Unicode strings to Tcl/Tk. If it matters, I
Gadre> am using Solaris 2.6 as my OS.
The current scotty code is not thread-safe. The upcoming snapshot,
which will be based on Tcl 8.2, has lots of mutexes inside and it will
be to some degree Tcl thread-safe.
(Claiming that something is really thread-safe is hard since it is not
easy to find and test the not so obvious places where you have to throw
in mutexes. Hence I prefer a more fuzzy statement.)
