[tkined] scotty slowness with tcl 8.0

Hi,
We were using scotty 2.1.05 with tcl7.6 for our tools. Now we upgraded to
tcl 8.0.5 and scotty to 2.1.10. We are seeing performance problems with the
new combination (tcl8.0.5 and scotty 2.1.10). The platform in question is
Solaris. We built a profile build and did a few benchmarking with scripts and
this is what we got:

Test                    TCL 7.6 TCL 8.0     Spread
&Scotty 2.1.05         & Scotty 2.1.10

Just the walk -         3.7-3.8seconds        4.0-4.2seconds  ~0.33s

Walk with minimal       3.6-4.0seconds        6.2-6.6seconds    ~2.6s
list processing

Walk with full list     5.4-6.1seconds         7.8-8.4seconds  ~2.4s
processing

No snmp just list       1.3seconds             1.0second         ~0.3s
processing

My questions are:
1. Has anyone seen this before?
2. Will the performance improve if we use Scotty-3.0 with tcl 8.0?
3. How stable is now Scotty-3.0?

Any scotty gurus please comment on it.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Arun
