Has anyone successfully used a get of Counter64 MIB variables? I have a device that claims to implement the IfXTable MIB, but no matter which tool I use to walk that MIB, only the v1 data types (Counter32, etc.) are returned. I've tried a Tnm 3.0.0/Tcl script, MG-Soft's shareware browser and Tivoli Net/View. But I can't pin it down that the device isn't working properly, perhaps none of the tools are correctly formatting the v2 get.
I thought about writing a tiny scotty agent to test this, make a MIB table with one of each data type and then walk the table and see what I get. At least if I can get a Counter64 then I believe the problem is in the device, not Tnm. But if Tnm can't handle Counter64 then this is a waste of time. By the way, since Tcl can't handle a 64-bit integer how could I set values in my MIB up to the maximum?
Thanks
Stuart Austin
