[tkined] scotty-2.1.10 vs. Squid

I'm not sure who's problem this is. It could be Squid's, but I don't
really think so. This may even be a tkined FAQ under a different guise! ;-)

I've installed Squid's MIB for use with tkined and everything seems to
work quite well with it until I try to use "monitor variable".

The SNMP-Browser can walk down through the entire MIB and display all
the values just fine. Here's an exmaple from cacheProtoAggregateStats:

However every variable I try to monitor comes back with something like
the following in the "SNMP-Monitor Report" window:

Unable to restart monitor job on squidhost.
SNMP get failed: noSuchName 1 {1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 NULL {}} {1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.3.2.1.1.0 NULL {}}

regardless of whether I type the full pathname of the variable, just
the variable name (cacheClientHttpRequests in this case), or
"variablename.0" as I did to get the above error, or even the path in
decimal number form (eg. as shown in the error message).

The graph does appear and then disappears as the monitor report window
shows up....

The same thing happens if I try using the monitor button in the
SNMP-Browser, even though it has just retrieved a value for the given
variable.
