[tkined] Compatibility of TCL/TK 8.0.4 and Scotty 2.1.10

I just compiled and installed Scotty 2.1.10 along with Tcl/Tk 8.0.4.
The compilation and installation went relatively smoothly; however,
while reading the file scotty-2.1.10/README I was much disturbed
by these sentences:

3. Compiling and installing Tcl:
-------------------------------
This release is based on Tcl7.6 and Tk4.2, but it should also work
with Tcl8.0.3 and Tk8.0.3....Note, there is guarantee that this
scotty/tkined version will most likely not work with later versions
of Tcl and Tk.

Is this for real? Should we back up to Tcl/Tk 8.0.3. I have other
developers on my team that want to move forward to Tcl/Tk 8.1.
Are there compatibility problems between Scotty-2.1.10 and
Tcl/Tk 8.1?

Much thanks for any responses.
