[tkined] Strange trap receiving behaviour

Dear all,

I have a system running Caldera OpenLinux 2.2 and scotty 2.1.10. The
behaviour of the monitoring strange that it differs when I am using root
or an individual user account. Both straps and ntping had been setting
with SUID.

1) When using root account and receiving trap, the following abnormal exit
dumps

[root@mgr /root]# unmatched open brace in list
while executing
"foreach comp $list {
if {[ined type $comp] == "NODE"} {
set lid [ined id $comp]
set lip [GetIpAddress $comp]
set lhost [..."
(procedure "ForeachIpNode" line 5)
invoked from within
"ForeachIpNode id ip host [ined -noupdate retrieve] {
if {$ip == $src} {
set trap [lindex [lindex $vbl 1] 2]
set name "[$s cget -version] Tr..."
(procedure "TrapSinkProc" line 7)
invoked from within
"TrapSinkProc snmp1 165.202.128.12 "{1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 TimeTicks {35d
0:17:31.17}} {1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 {OBJECT IDENTIFIER} IF-MIB!linkUp}
{1.3.6.1...."
(snmp callback)

-------------------------------------------
When received the following trap and it printed on the SNMP-Monitor Report
window

Thu Jul 08 17:34:27 MEST 1999 SNMPv1 trap from [165.202.128.12]:
sysUpTime.0 = 35d 0:18:03.06
snmpTrapOID.0 = 1.3.6.1.4.1.9999.1.1.0.1
ntTimeStamp = Thu Jul 8 17:33:56 1999
ntErrorMessage = CCED218 Cannot SCPU: A stdby core resource(s) has a
fault
snmpTrapEnterprise.0 = pax

2) No error given out when I am using an individual user account. However,
all traps are received but it does not cause the appropriate icon to
flash.

Anyone have any clues, please shine some light.
Thanks in advance,
Terrance
