I have renumbered the test now.

You need to look into the core file in order to find out what is going
wrong here. The problem is most likely not in the Tcl version you are
using.

The configure script tries to make a reasonable guess for the default
path. It looks for "scotty" and "tclsh" (in that order) to determine
the prefix.
