This definately does not work under UNIX. Its a known limitation. Its
probably possible to get it working under NT, but I never checked it.
(This is example of a quick but not very helpful response. ;-)

I have no idea. I have lots of changes sitting in various input
queues. But I agree that it is about time to have another snapshot and
I understand that more frequent releases will help people to get bugs
fixed more quickly.
