You do not need to change it. Just pass the OID for the trap to the
SNMP session. The SNMP engine will do the right conversion from the
OID to the generic/specific values if you send an SNMPv1 trap. For
more information on trap OIDs and mappings, check your favourite book
on SNMP or read the Internet Draft <draft-ietf-snmpv3-coex-03.txt>.
