yes, the tnm/generic/tnmInit.c source shows that only one path is
expected inside the TNM_LIBRARY environment variable and no searchlist
is supported or expected.
but what documentation stated TNM_LIBRARY would search multiple
directories ? the source of this information should be fixed or at
least clarified.
