Unfortunately, yes. I have back-ported the code used to locate the
*idy files from 3.0 to 2.1.11. This means that scotty-2.1.11 will have
the tnm(cache) variable. The default still points to the library
directory since this is backwards compatible. However, you can now
change the value of tnm(cache) to something like ~/.tnm$tnm(version)
in the initialization file, which gives you the 3.0 behaviour.

I plan to release 2.1.11 in the next days. (I need to check whether
there are any other patches in my queue.)

I am sorry, I don't know the release date myself. I guess we will see
more alpha releases before 3.0 is finished. We are rewriting the C
code to use Tcl_Objs everywhere and I am sure that this will introduce
several bugs before it gets stable enough for a real release.
