Unfortunately to provide the agent with the data it needs to respond to queries, it is NOT enough to load the MIB - that merely defines the data types or OIDs that are there. You (or rather the agent) has to fill in the values.

Some values such as the SNMP and Systems group can be filled in internally (ie the agent knows how many GETs have been performed and the Scotty agent has an assigned OID to identify it).

See in snmp(n) man page under the SNMP Agent Commands section: the snmp# bind commands for how to add values to the agent.
