Hmm, i tried to reproduce that, but was not successful to do so.

i tried a clean installation with tcl v8.0.4, tk v8.0.4 and the scotty
snapshot named scotty-98-11-04 (including tkined v1.5.0 and scotty
v3.0.0) on a solaris v2.6 platform with a capt'n default installation
(only exception: configure needed the --enable-shared option). clean
install.

with this snmp and ip monitor jobs are restarted and working just fine
(monitoring a cisco with her interface loads and round-trip time).

beside community string problems when restarting the snmp monitor
jobs, at least your ip monitor job should restart without special
tweaking.

so i would assume you have some nonstandard installation regarding
installation path or something else ?

but may someone else has trouble restarting ip and snmp monitor jobs
with latest scotty snapshots too and can report this here ?

well, sorry that this is not very helpful to you, but it may lead to
further information.

Erik
