Hi,
I want to use scotty to test a management application. I am using the
-agent command to configure an snmp session as an agent. However,
configuring it to port 161 fails, with permission denied. The application I
am testing sends requests on port 161. Is their a way of being able to get
at those requests and respond to them?
I know for traps, we can have multiple sessions configured on port 162,
and all will be able to get the message. Is their any simmilar mechanism
for responding to gets? Or is their any other way I can set up an agent to
respond to gets being sent out to port 161 by an application (running on
the same machine).
Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help,
anurag
