I have an on going problem with scotty. I too have the problem with
Tnm lost connection (broken pipe) error message. I have followed
along with the news group and have upgraded to scotty2.1.10 with tcl
8.0.3.

If I have scotty started and running with just ip_monitor and
snmp_monitor scripts running all seems to be ok. If I start another
such as snmp browser script all will be ok for a while but the
snmp_monitor script will disappear from the menu bar but the browser
script is still there. I believe that if I start the snmptrapd tcl
script in the examples directory I think the monitor also goes away
but I have not watched for that that closely.

I also tried to get the 3.0.0 version, to see if the problem was still
there. I downloaded it compiled it and started it but I just had a
real hard time trying to figure it out...Maybe I was trying to hard.
Is there any quick getting started documents for scotty 3.0.0?

Again working with scotty 2.1.10, TCL 8.0.3 on a Slackware 3.5 unix
system. Kernel level 2.0.34.

If I can supply any further information PLEASE let me know as I want
this program to work well for me. I am looking forward to doing alot
with this.
