Q. Is there a later version than 2.1.9/tkined 1.4.9?
A. Yes 2.1.10 or alternatively the latest beta 3.0.0 , but these
probably dont't have any more functionality than the version you are
using

Q. Is there a version for NT or 95?
A. Yes, the beta 3.0.0 works on NT. But if you already have a linux
workstation you would probably be better staying with that (said without
malice).

Q. Can I monitor Netware Servers.
A. Yes, with Novell TCP/IP you get a simple(with 3.12) or slightly more
sophisticated(with 4.11) SNMP service. You certainly can't use it like
rstatd though, I have not heard of anything in the public domain that
does this. (Somebody please correct me if necessary).

Q. Can I monitor NT Servers.
A. Yes, NT has an SNMP service. I dont know what it does yet. (Somebody
please inform us!?)

Q. Can I monitor 3Com Superstack hubs?
A. Yes, You already are, but to understand how to monitor the more
complex settings you need to understand the MIB for this piece of
equipment. If you are still unsure about the concept of communities you
should probably do some reading on basic SNMP concepts as well.

Q. Why can't I set variables.
A. Not sure, see above but also I believe there was a discussion about
this piece of equipment in the mailing list a few months ago about
having to use the 3com software to do this kind of thing. (Somebody
please correct me if this is erroneous information)

Hope some of these answers help

Regards
