Dear all,
I have currently installed Scotty2.1.10 and I have just joined to this
mailing list. Please excuse me if this these of questions have been
asked before. I am still searhing through the archives also.

While not beeing root, I have clicked the "SNMP
tree/system.systemLocation/ Describe" for a node. It gave me the result
including:
.
.
Max. Access: read-write
ASN.1 Syntax: OCTET STRING
Textual Convention: DisplayString
Display-Hint: 255a
File: /users/u5/emreg/lib/tnm2.1.10/mibs/rfc1907.mib

Then I have tried to change the value of "sysLocation". But It gave me
:
"noSuchName 1 {1.3.6.1.2.1.1.6.0 {OCTET STRING} {FLOOR 2}}

Is this happen because I dont have the root permision? But Xterm
windowFor Tkined did not show any error messages.
Sincerely
Emre Gover
