[tkined] Duplicate SNMP Key numbers ?

Hi,

I am trying to monitor a router which has built-in ISDN (ie. microlink
64K * 2) and a 12 port repeater module using Scotty-2.1.9.

When using the repeater MIB, I can see repeater port SNMP keys of 1.1,
1.2, ..., 1.12 and 1.13, where 1.13 is the connection to the internal
ethernet and 1.1-12 are the physical hub ports.

When using an enterprise MIB from the vendor, I can see ISDN SNMP keys
of 1.3 and 1.4 for the two 64K ISDN channels.

Therefore, SNMP key numbers of 1.3 and 1.4 map to different physical
or logical ports when using different MIB OIDs.

I have a few questions:

1. Is this allowed ?

2. Is this SNMP key setup common in vendors equipment ?

3. Wouldn't this be confusing when receiving traps because you
won't know which interface the trap is about ?
