thanks kindly for the fix on the make portion of the install
when i was running the install i got an error much like one i saw
earlier up on this forum.
tk&tcl v8.0, solaris 2.6, scotty 2.1.9
during the make install
./../tnm/library/init.tcl is installed
initialization failed: couldn't load file "/usr/local/lib/tnm2.1.9so":
ld.so.1:
./scotty: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/local/lib/tnm2.1.9.so: symbol
_res:
referenced symbol not found
***Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `tnm-install-library'
i saw the above posts and recompiled tcl/tk using --enable-shared
then, following the advice on robert mannings thread/post best i could
i then looked for the right init.tcl file. however i seem to have 4
./d2/work/scotty2.1.9/tnm/library/init.tcl
./d2/work/tcl8.0/library/init.tcl
./d2/local/lib/tcl8.0/init.tcl
./d2/local/tnm2.1.9/library/init.tcl
which one is the correct one? what are the lappend statements that were
referred too? is it even the same problem i'm having? it seemed similar
any ideas whats going wrong? i also tried to switch the TCLLIBPATH to
include different init.tcl files but to no avail.
any fixes/suggestions/flames/help/sedatives are welcomed
if u have the fix plz give the idiots version of how to fix it, as i'm
only ~2 weeks in networking and unix environment
