[tkined] Icons don't change back after device comes up

I'm using Tkined 1.4.9 to monitor some devices on our network. I have
devices grouped. I'm using IP-monitor : Check reachability to have Tkined
show when devices go down.

I find that after a device comes back up its colour often stays red, and
its icon sometimes chnages to the default TV set, and the label displayed
sometimes changes to "rtt {n} ms".

Is it supposed to do this? Is there any way I can get the icons and labels
to change back?
