[tkined] Flushing event queue

Hi,

I am using scotty 2.1.7 with Tcl7.6 and Tk4.0 on NT platform. I have
experienced problems related to the event, at least I think it is. The
problem is that if the application fires up several snmp requests in a
roll, sometimes one reply from the agent is not obtained until some
button on the GUI is pressed. If the button is not pressed, a timeout
will occur and none response error status will be returned. This
situation does not happen all the time, but it happens very often.

I wonder if pressing button actually triggers some action to flush the
event queue. Can I do some similar thing without having to manually
press the button? I also think that the problem is really caused by
NT. But instead of fixing NT, I would appreciate any heelp about how to
go around the problem.

Thanks,
--James
