Hello,
probably my first mail was discarded, if you see it twice, please excuse me.

i got quite similar messages while trying to compile scotty2.1.8 under
linux 2.0.33 (suse 5.1):

>make clean
>make
>make install
./scotty: can't resolve symbol 'Tcl_FreeFile'
./scotty: can't resolve symbol 'Tcl_GetFile'
./scotty: can't resolve symbol 'Tcl_GetFileInfo'
initialization failed: couldn't load file "/usr/lib/tnm2.1.8.so": Unable to
resolve symbol
make: *** [tnm-install-library] Error 1

tcl8.0 and tk8.0 was no problem to install.

i changed the makefile to use the newer libs, but it doesnt work.
(tried ldconfig too, but it doesnt show the tnm2.1.8.so)

perhaps somebody has a hint?

I keep getting the following error when I try to do make install with
Scotty2.1.8

fs0% make install
Installing scotty2.1.8 and tnm2.1.8.so
Installing ./../tnm/library/README
Installing ./../tnm/library/dialog.tcl
Installing ./../tnm/library/output.tcl
Installing ./../tnm/library/snmp.tcl
Installing ./../tnm/library/monitor.tcl
Installing ./../tnm/library/obsolete.tcl
Installing ./../tnm/library/init.tcl
initialization failed: couldn't load file
"/home/sanwar/local/lib/tnm2.1.8.so": ld.so.1: ./scotty: fatal:
relocation error: file /home/sanwar/local/lib/tnm2.1.8.so: symbol
Tcl_SetVar2: referenced symbol not found
make: *** [tnm-install-library] Error 1

I am using tcl 8.0 to compile Scotty. It compiles fine though...
