RE: Anybody have a binary for Windows 95/NT available?

I have had a go at porting scotty 2.1.5 using the cygwin compiler and
came up against the following:-

1. There is no stable tcl/tk available yet compiled using the cygwin
compiler
2. To use microsoft compiled dll's (i.e. the available tcl.dll) seems to
currently require a microsoft linker. (so why not just use the microsoft
C compiler)
3. Many of the networking functions required by scotty such as
gethostbyname() are currently just stubs i.e. they don't work at all.

4. Multi threading by cygwin applications is prone to crashes.

The cygwin C compiler is not bad, plus the Unix tools port is excellent,
worth having for any windows nt/95 workstation but the networking
section is probably the weakest.

hope that isn't too much of a downer... :(
