I am trying to compile Scotty 2.1.5 on a HP9000/715 station but on the
make I get an error message :

ld: DP-Relative Code in file tnmInit.o - Shared Library must be
Position-Independent

Please can somebody tell me how to solve this problem. I am not an
programmer or developer and just want to use Scotty to get/set SNMP info
on cisco routers.
