} router [169.144.38.3] SNMP set writeNet.169.144.6.16 = router-confg
} router [169.144.38.3] transaction failed: noSuchName
} ----------------------------------

Twas me that wrote that code...

First - check that the router can write the config...

cispos#wr net
Remote host []? my-tftp
Name of configuration file to write [router-confg]?
Write file cispos-confg on host 169.144.6.16? [confirm]
Building configuration...

Writing router-confg !! [OK]

... ie the TFTP file permissions are OK... then check that the SNMP part is
OK by first reading the readonly stuff - eg - click on "Cisco Info", and
if that works, try the 'Write/Clear NVRAM' (I'd suggest using 'Write' :-).

ie - test TFTP, then SNMP Readonly, then SNMP ReadWrite.
see where it fails...
