Tcl_SetVar2 install problem

I can't get scotty to install. The system is as follows:

tcl 7.5 (also tried with 7.5p1 and 7.6p2)
tk 4.1 (also tried matching versions with above)

Sparc Solaris 2.5.1, gcc 2.7.2.2.

tcl and tk, of any version, install easily.

Scotty compiles, but when I do a make install comes back with the
following error:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
initialization failed: couldn't load file "/usr/local/lib/tnm2.1.5.so":
ld.so.1: ./scotty: fatal: relocation error: symbol not found: Tcl_SetVar2:
referenced in /usr/local/lib/tnm2.1.5.so
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw this referenced in the archives of the mailing list but the solution
was to go to tcl 7.5 (NOT p1) or 7.6, I tried both of these and came up
with the same error.

Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Roger
