If anyone has the patience, I am in need of a general overview of how to
get
started using snmp via tkined.
I have a vague understanding of how the snmp protocol works, which is
why I am having trouble getting started.
At this point I am not trying to add or customize a mib. I simply want
to know how/what to configure to enable snmp monitoring.
Do I need statements in my .tkined/tkined.defaults file? How do I bind
snmp variables to a host/interface ...? (Hopefully that is a valid
question??)
I am running tkined-1.3.4 w/scotty-2.0.2.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
