I have no explanation for this behaviour. Can you provide more
information what is going on? Is the scotty process still exchanging
messages with the agent? Can you attach a debugger or a system call
tracer like strace or truss to the process to see what it is doing?
It might also be useful to catch the last SNMP packet on the network
using tcpdump or a packet sniffer to see what is going on.
