The current sources and the configure script are not really prepared
for cross compilation. The solution is probably to compile on the
target machine. If you can't do that, just hack the sources and send
me a diff when you are done. I am happy to include the required
changes in the distribution if they don't break something else.

In the meantime, though, Rafael, please be
aware that diagnostics about "cross_com-
piling" often hint at misconfiguration. I
recommend that your first step be to clean
your directories thoroughly. Best is to
wipe out everything connected to Scotty
generation, and start over. This solves
problems with descriptions that match
yours surprisingly often.

I haven't been on an SCO machine since
August, but I remember no insurmountable
problems there. If someone wants to set
up a telnet account for me of a few hours'
duration, I'll demonstrate generation of
Scotty, just for the practice.
