The interesting thing here is that I never used SunNet Manager and
people sometimes say it is similar. Some people also say that Tkined
is similar to Cisco Works, which I also don't know.

The short answer is: no
Scott> b. How do you set up logs? In example, I would like to log

The Scotty package does not have its own loggin facility. However, it
is straight forward to modify e.g. ip_monitor.tcl to log to the system
logging facility via the syslog command (which also works on Windows
platforms).
Scott> c. Can you share monitorings between views? I would like to

No. This requires significant changes because scripts are bound to
views and views are pretty much independent from each other (with the
exception of the internal cut & paste clipboard).

An icon is just a fancy picture. It might be useful to change this in
a future version so that you have a type attribute which determines
the default icon and some additional type specific attributes. I guess
this is a medium programming exercise.
