I then maked it the active syslog deamon and did a backup of the
original one.
Since then, if I try to login as root on my machine, I get diffrent
messages relatives to the startup scripts for the user. The only
problem, is that I never get a login prompt.
Well, never is maybe a large word, but it takes a couple of shots
before getting any prompts after login in to the machine.
The machine is a standalone machine, running slackware Linux version
3.1 and kernel version 2.0.13. I've switch back to my old syslog deamon
since I need my machine. If someone can help me out.
