Sigh. It helps to read before replying. Apologies - I should have said that
our campus is ALL bridged, there's no intra-campus routing and so we as a
department aren't a subnet. However we have two remote campuses, one routed
and one bridged. Anyhow, that doesn't affect the rest of what I said.
