Hi,

I didn't pose my question clearly. What I refer to Tkined is
actually a tkined + tcl tool like scotty.

I can have the tools, brought up on tkined, to send message to
external program, and wait for the response by setting up a pipe.

This mechanism will prevent user of tkined from performing other
task while the tkined is waiting for reponse. BESIDES, an external
program can't send message to tools activated by tkined.

I checked the tcl books and couldn't find any way for tcl script to
receive asynchonous message.

Thanks,
