I've just compiled and installed scotty(2.1.2)/tkined(1.4.2) and am
experiencing problems retrieving SNMP info from a number of RS6000's running
AIX 4.1.3.
eg.
Whilst in tkined:
System Info (selected from within SNMP-Trouble) works fine and returns
everything ok.
System Info (selected from within SNMP-Host) fails to display info.
returned by the IBM. All of the other xxxx Information options from within
(SNMP-Host) also fail.
Monitoring the running SNMPD on the IBM does show it responding to the trap
quite happily(?).
I've defined 'syscontact' within snmpd.conf so I know it must be reading
something back correctly from the IBM.
I'm very new to this and now a bit stuck without hacking through the code....
Help?
