Terje Malmedal did run some tests that show me that this problem is
not related to an installation error. Terje is using the plus patch
(http://www.nici.kun.nl/tkpvm/pluspatch.html). So this problem might
be related to this patch. Before I spend time on it, I would like to
ask people who observe the same problem if they can send me a note
whether they are using the pluspatch too or not. I would also be
helpful if you send me the Tcl/Tk versions as well as the operating
system name and version you are using.
